Ron has become a local identity in Redcliffe for his success in real estate and his chosen mode of transport – an electric wheel chair, known to be fast than some cars – especially those driven by the local elderly.
Ron has vast real estate experience, firstly back in New Zealand but now with over 20 years experience on the Redcliffe Peninsula and surrounding Suburbs.
Ron’s been married to Diane for over 40 years and also has a daughter and two grand children living nearby. His son lives in New Zealand and has a successful marketing and PR firm – www.attn.co.nz. “My start in real estate in Australia started off with selling Land and House/Land packages from an office in Burpengary.“I then moved to Woody Point and sold Residential Properties, and then moved over to Commercial, Industrial Real Estate and Business Broking. Ron joined Colin Bainbrigge and Colin Parsons at Peninsula Realty and Rentals (which was one of the Largest agencies on the peninsula back in the 1980’s. P R & R (as it was known) employed up to 50 salespeople!!) Ron became known as the Area Expert in commercial Real Estate up until the Boom Times! When Col Bainbrigge retired and sold his business in 2003, Ron started his own business as Ron Harvey Real Estate and Redcliffe Commercial in Violet Street Redcliffe. He then set up Queensland Properties with the view of creating a statewide ‘Queensland Properties Brand of independent Real Estate Agents and developed the queenslandproperties.net web site (which is Top Ranked in Google searches). Many years ago Ron suffered a major set back when he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. He has bravely battled the debilitating disease but is now in a wheel chair. However, regarded a dogged and a fighter, the set back has not stopped him working fulltime. “The Body might be buggered but my personality and mind are great”.You will see Ron all around Redcliffe in his speedy wheelchair still doing business every day of the week!!
